Another Magical Getaway

A fabulous time was had by all in this beautiful house in Marloth Park. You really feel that you are deep in the bush as Kudus, Zebra, Impala, Wart Hogs, Mongoose and many more visit the house and sometimes even drink out of the pool while you’re in it! Louise is a lovely, attentive host, who is happy to provide help and information at all times, which was especially handy for us on this trip as load shedding was in full swing and we got daily reminders about when the power would be off. The house was kept in tip top condition by Martha and the rest of the staff in their quiet non obtrusive way. My favourite place is sitting at the big dining table on the terrace, either at sunrise, with a big mug of tea, waiting for the animals to visit and listening to the sounds of the bush waking up and after dark, with a large Amarula over ice, waiting for the enchanting little Bush Babies to visit. As ever, am dreaming of my next visit.

Will rent this property again !!! The house is in mint condition , and the swimming pool clean and beautiful. Love the animails so close to the doorstep.

Fantastic position and comfortable,modern, well furnished home. Huge patio with animals coming right up to us such as warthogs, a huge family of mongoose, kudu. A genet even came to drink outside our own waterhole at night! Louis was an amazing hostess too!

Great location in the bush with exceptional game viewing. Solar made our stay really comfortable and we wanted for nothing. Kids had a blast

Lovely stay at Khaya Umdani

Dear Louise,

Thank you very much for the wonderful experience at Khaya Umdani – My Uncle and Aunt loved the house and the whole experience.

We will return to Marloth at some time in the future.

Wonderful experience and the house was impressive. We loved the swimming pool and the braai area.

Seeing the wild animals coming so close was an experience that my Aunt and Uncle will not forget soon. Just missed seeing the bush babies.

Kyk, toe hulle nou uiteindelik gister daarin slaag om my onder groot protes in die bakkie in te boender, het ek besluit dat Khaya Umdani seker een van die beste plekke is waar ons nog gebly het. Regtig, wel gedaan aan julle!! Ek het in my lewe al so gewens dat ek my huis kan hak aan die kar en so gaan vakansie hou. Mevrou, en hier gaan kuier ek in die bos en ek eet uit dieselfde borde uit as by die huis! Knyp my – het ons dit reggekry om die huis te hak!
Uitstekend – hier vanaf die Scholtz’e kry julle 5 sterre.

Ons is net vreeslik jammer oor die patio stoel wat so onder my Pa weggebreek het. Bernadette het gesê ons moet nie bekommer maar regtig as daar koste is moet jy asseblief laat weet.

Ek wil dan nou ook hoor of ek Khaya Umdani sommer nou uit die staanspoor vir ‘n week kan dagboek vir volgende jaar.

(Dis nou te sê as julle weer stoelbrekers gaan toelaat )

Just returned from a 17 day visit to SA, of which we spent 8 days in your beautiful lodge.
I was there with Martin Conn, his daughter Ryhana and his son Aidain. We had a fantastic time! You certainly know how to make your guests feel very special. We had everything we would ever need.

Bernadette looked after us so well and we will get back in touch with her, she is a lovely person. I know now we will come back, I just found the whole place magic. We live in the North of Scotland and the scenery is beautiful, but I have to say that parts I saw of SA were better.

I will highly recommend this well maintained and well equipped spacious lodge, the bedrooms and living rooms furnished very tastefully, serviced daily with very friendly staff, wide variety of outdoor cooking facilities & kitchen well equipped with modern appliances. It was really something special and relaxing holiday with kudus and zebras on your doorstep. I will definitely stay at Khaya Umdani again.
